``` Urdu Teachers Union Meets BMC Officials, Raises Key Issues of Teachers and Schools°°°```

⛎ In a significant development, a delegation of the *Mumbai Urdu Teachers Union* held an important meeting with senior officials of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to highlight and resolve long-pending issues concerning teachers, schools, and the education system.
The meeting was chaired by
*Dr. Amit Saini (Additional Municipal Commissioner)*,
in the presence of
*Mrs. Prachi Jambhekar (Deputy Municipal Commissioner)*,
*Mrs. Sujata Khare (Education Officer)*, and
*Mr. Kirtiverdhan Kiritkudave (Deputy Education Officer)*.
Representing and led the Urdu Teacher's Union by,
*Mr. Amin Patel (MLA)* and
*Mr. Javed Juneja (Ex-BMC Municipal Councillor)* extended their support to the cause.
The delegation was led by *Mr. Javed Ansari (President)*, along with
*Mr. Tauseef Shaikh (General Secretary)*,
*Mr. Mubeen Khan (Vice President)*,
*Mr. Aasif Akram (Zonal President, S & T Ward)*,
*Mrs. Aameena Siraj (Zonal President, M Ward)*, and
*Mr. Altaf Khan (Zonal President, L Ward)*.
_The Union presented a comprehensive list of demands, including:_
* *Promotion of Teachers as Head Masters*: Pending for over two years, leaving 70+ schools without proper leadership. The Union raised objections regarding unnecessary document requirements for HM promotions. AMC said why are you waiting all Trs papers. As much Trs papers work completed issue them H.M. order.
* *Promotion of Head Masters as Beat Officers*: The Union demanded appointments of Beat Officers either through direct recruitment or promotions, and requested reducing the experience limit from 5 years to 1–3 years. The AMC accepted the demand to reduce the limit from 5 years to 3 years and directed officers to submit the file.Very shortly through exam outside Promotion of B.O. Will be done.
* *Single Master List*: The Union requested the preparation of a *Single Seniority Master List* including Permanent Date, 12-Year Grade, 24-Year Grade, Graduation Grade, HM Grade, and 55-Year Continuation Date — all in one list for *both primary and secondary* teachers to avoid confusion and delays.
* *Pensioners Issues*: The Union demanded that *Pension Memos* be issued six months before retirement. Trs/H.M. are not getting retirement dues on time, for timely settlement, and requested clearance of all pending claims and pension files. AMC Asking Union to submit pending ward list.....
* *Transfer Policy*: The Union called for a *fresh transfer policy*, why last 6 years Trnsfr not done, request-based and mutual transfers we submitted our Objections and suggestions.
* *Authorization for Head Masters in the SAP System*: The Union demanded that HMs be given *PA40 rights* to update teacher data and leave records.
* *Timely Salary Disbursement*: The Union demanded clearance of all pending salaries for *Shikshan Sewak* and *CHB teachers* at the earliest. AMC directed to release salary on time.
* *Graduate Scale Benefits*: The Union requested the implementation of *Graduate Scale benefits* as per GR, extending recognition to B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com teachers, and increasing the percentage from 25% to 33%.
* *Khan Academy Project*: Concerns were raised regarding the *Khan Academy online classes project*, citing that many students from economically weaker sections cannot afford smartphones or access the syllabus. The Union requested that teachers not be pressurized regarding this project.
* *Shortage of Clerks in AO Office*: The Union highlighted the shortage of clerks and stressed the need for sufficient staff to handle administrative work.
* *Service Book Issues*: Teachers transferred last year are still awaiting updates to their service books. The Union demanded speedy updating of all ward service books. Data of All ward are invited by DMC
* *Semi-English Teacher Appointments*: The Union requested that teachers appointed through *Pavitra Portal* based on their 10th Std medium be considered for Semi-English posts and transferred to schools of their respective mediums.
* AMC instructed to provide list they will be transfer in their respective medium.
* *HPL Deduction*: The Union objected to deductions on the basis of full salary for HPL. They requested that only Basic, DA, and TA be considered for deduction, as per the old circular and payment rules. AMC Asked for speedy solution why Trs face loss.
_The officials assured the Union of a positive review of their demands. The meeting concluded on a hopeful note, with the Union thanking the BMC administration for their valuable time and support._
